Lancellotti’s appointment reaffirms MODC’s mission to strengthen regional connections, champion local businesses and nonprofits, and drive economic growth through strategic collaboration.

Wall Township, NJ — The Monmouth-Ocean Development Council (MODC) proudly announces the appointment of Dana Lancellotti as its new Executive Director. A seasoned leader with deep roots in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Lancellotti brings a distinguished background in economic development, nonprofit leadership, and public advocacy.

A long-time member of MODC, Lancellotti most recently served as President and CEO of the New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association, where she led a major rebranding initiative, streamlined operations, and advocated tirelessly for the industry during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. Her previous role as Ocean County’s Director of Business Development and Tourism further underscores her commitment to the region. In that capacity, she helped drive growth in the $5 billion tourism sector, partnered with MODC to promote the Jersey Shore as a year-round destination, and played an instrumental role in recovery efforts following Superstorm Sandy.

“Dana has been a valued member of MODC for many years, and we are excited to welcome her in this new leadership role,” said Tom Gilmour, Board President for the MODC. “Her strategic vision, passion for the community, and extensive network make her the ideal choice to lead MODC into its next chapter.”

Since stepping into the role just three months ago, Dana Lancellotti has hit the ground running—solidifying MODC’s position as a driving force in the regional business landscape. In April, under her leadership, MODC hosted a high-profile membership breakfast featuring Brady O’Connor, Chief of External Affairs for the FIFA World Cup 2026 New Jersey/New York Host Committee. As one of the first business organizations in the state to hold a public briefing on the event, MODC members were given exclusive insights and data on the anticipated economic impact of the 2026 World Cup—and how local businesses and nonprofits can strategically position themselves to benefit.

In May, MODC hosted its 60th Annual Silver Gull Awards Banquet, honoring a record-breaking thirteen recipients from across industries who have made significant contributions to the Monmouth-Ocean community. Shortly after, Lancellotti represented MODC at the Netflix Studios at Fort Monmouth groundbreaking ceremony—a milestone achievement that reflects years of advocacy and partnership among MODC, local municipalities, county officials, and statewide economic leaders. Following Memorial Day, the MODC hosted their 2nd Annual “State of the Shore” Economic Summit. This sold-out event featured two panel discussions, three keynote speakers and a wealth of information and expert projections on the 2025 economic landscape.

Looking ahead, MODC will continue to celebrate its 60th anniversary with a community celebration this September at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como—an event born of Lancellotti’s signature energy and collaborative leadership alongside the MODC Board and local business partners.

Lancellotti’s dedication to community service spans both public and nonprofit spheres. She served as an Honorary Commander, now Emeritus, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, was a founding member and Executive Director of the Military Support Alliance of New Jersey, and currently serves on the board of the Jersey Shore Partnership. Her contributions have earned her multiple accolades, including MODC’s 2016 Silver Gull Tourism Achievement Award and the 2020 Woman of Distinction Award from the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore.

Lancellotti, a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore, grew up in Sea Girt. Her family’s legacy includes founding Weir’s Pharmacy in Manasquan in 1922 and operating a beach arcade during the 1940s. A Manasquan High School and Monmouth University graduate, she continues to invest her talents and energy into the region she proudly calls home.

Lancellotti brings a unique blend of nonprofit leadership, creative marketing acumen, and operational expertise to her new role—qualities that position MODC for continued growth and impact, celebrating its sixtieth year.
